The cost of Texas Leadfoot is $25.00. You can pay immediately using a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. You may also pay by mailing a money order to:

Texas Leadfoot allows up to 90 calendar days to complete the 6-hour course once you have registered. Texas Leadfoot is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Yes, the course will help to dismiss a traffic ticket, granted that you have received approval with your court to take a defensive driving course for the purpose of ticket dismissal. Approval from the court must be received regardless of which type of course you take.
« back to topWill this course help me receive a discount on my auto insurance?
Yes it will depending on your insurance company. Most insurance companies offer discounts of 10% for completing the course. Upon course completion, you will receive a state issued Certificate of Completion that includes a copy for your insurance company. You will receive this copy if you are taking the course for a ticket or if you are taking the course for insurance only. Please check with your insurance agent to see if they offer this discount.

If you are taking this course to dismiss a traffic ticket, you must receive approval from the court prior to taking this course.

Yes! This program is approved by the Texas Education Agency under the name Digital Driving. Our school number is C1828. You may contact the Texas Education Agency at 512-997-6500.
« back to topWhat are the requirements for successful completion?
In order to pass the course you must:
- Attend the full 6-hour course
- Do not attempt to circumvent the course
- Accurately answer course content and personal validation questions
- Score a 80% or better on the final exam

What if I score too low on the final exam?
If you score too low on your final examination, you will be allowed to retake the final exam one more time. You will be able to review the course material online and then retake your final examination over the phone with a state licensed instructor.

You will receive your Certificate of Completion within 5-8 business days after you complete the course.
Delivery Options- FedEx Overnight Morning Delivery - by 10:30am the next business day.
- FedEx Overnight Delivery - by 5:00pm the next business day.
- FedEx Two-Day Express Delivery - two business days after shipping.
- Regular Mail Delivery - Expected delivery is 5-8 days after shipping.
Once I receive my Certificate of Completion what do I do next?
Your certificate will contain one copy for the court and one copy for insurance. The court copy must be presented to the court as indicated on your citation. It is suggested that the court copy be hand-delivered or sent certified mail, return receipt requested. If you wish to use the insurance copy for a discount on your automobile policy, contact your insurance agent. Keep copies for your records.

If you get disconnected from your internet provider for any reason, simply reconnect and log back into the course. You will start on the segment you left off and your performance will not be affected.

Yes! Texas Leadfoot is designed to be convenient. You may take the course 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can access the course from any location that has internet access.

If you experience any problem while taking the course, please call 800-990-2813 for assistance. At Texas Leadfoot, we have technical staff that can assist you 24 hours a day, seven days a week with any problems you may experience while taking the course. If for any reason you encounter a system outage or interruption while taking the course, the staff at Texas Leadfoot can provide you with accurate estimates on repair times so you can properly budget the remaining time you have left to complete the course.
